This saturday, Danilo Petrucci will make his first race in the Superbike World Championship. After testing and free practice at Phillip Island, the qualifying session – Superpole – and the first race will mark the Barni Spark Racing Team rider’s truly competitive debut.
The official website of the championship questioned the #9 about how he feels before tomorrow, to which he replied: ‘I’m more or less everything: nervous, excited, happy, curious, truly happy to be here because I have to say that the environment from the Superbike paddock is truly enjoyable. The contact with people, the paddock show and especially all the riders are very friendly right now and I really like it’.
Petrucci added: ‘Surely tomorrow will be a big, big day. It’s a short Superpole, like a qualifying. There’s no big workout in the morning, then the long run. I’m really curious because I’ve never competed with some of the riders that are here. So I’m really curious, it’s a mix of feelings’.
