Ferrari driver spoke after the second day of testing

Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz spoke after the second day of testing in Bahrain: “Our priority is to improve the race pace, because in qualifying even though we didn’t have as much development we were much closer to Red Bull than we were in the race. We’re focusing on that,” are the words reported by Motorsport.

“Until we take the car to the limit in qualifying it will be impossible to know its true potential,” explained the Spaniard. “Because in testing you don’t go to the limit and you can’t understand and the last feeling, the real one, the car will give me in qualifying and in the race.”

“We are definitely not slow,” concluded the Iberian, “but I don’t know how fast we are compared to Red Bull and Mercedes.
