Aleix Espargaró comes from his best MotoGP season ever and now hopes to repeat the tremendous success that was at least the first half of last season. For the first day of testing at Sepang the spaniard believes there is still a lot of work to be done.
‘It’s difficult to say how many engine specifications we have available here. I’ve only got a fully 2023 bike and they tell me it’s not the last version, they still want to improve the engine a bit. That’s what we need, I was hoping to have a bit more power’, said the catalan about the testing day in Malaysia, also commenting on the use of the new pressure sensors in the tyres:
– For now this test is for the engineers to have more information on the tyre pressure sensors, we are using both sensors, the new one and the McLaren one. The numbers don’t match up with the test team’s sensors, so they have to try to get a good understanding of what makes more sense because we need the data from the other sensor as well. It will not be easy, we need a lot of information to analyse before Portimão
