Potatoes are good for your heart health. If you do not deep fry them or add lots of unhealthy toppings to them then it is good to include them in a healthy balanced diet. They contain potassium which helps to lower blood pressure and thus reduced the risk of heart problems. They also contain fiber which has been shown to lower the risk of heart disease. A lot of the beneficial nutrients is found in the skin of the potato, so make sure to keep the skin on when cooking them. Use healthy cooking methods such as boiling or steaming.
