Dominique Aegerter is one of the rookies in 2023 Superbike World Championship, and after the tests in Portimao – Portugal that took place last week, the WSSP and MotoE world championship admitted he has to get used to was is new for him, with the braking in his mind.
The swiss, who will make his debut in the championship with GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK, spoke about the matter on the official website of the championship: ‘A fantastic track here at Portimao but a really demanding one… with the big bike, and a lot of power, to brake from over 300km/h is something I need to get used to!’.
In an adaptation phase, the rider addressed then a few other things he worked on: ‘We tried many things. On the bike, electronics, tyre wise but I think we could not take the full potential out of the SCQ tyre. We got some good information to work on, some basic setups that we can have for the season. We tried some different riding positions and the things that Yamaha gave us to try’.
